I’ve had lots of confused looks when I’ve been telling people about my forthcoming podcast The Feisty Life, so I thought I’d start at the beginning and walk you through what they are, how to find them, and, frankly, why you should even care!
What is a podcast?
Podcasts are like a radio show. However, unlike a radio show that is on at a specific time, a podcast is like a radio show that’s on precisely when you want it.
You can listen online, or you can download it and listen on the go when suits you.
There are ALL sorts of podcasts out there- if you look on iTunes, you’ll see there’s everything from business to comedy and all points in between!
When you ‘subscribe’ to a podcast on iTunes, it’ll even line the next episodes up for you as they become available, so you don’t even have to go looking for them! And when you’re on wifi, it can even download them onto your phone ready for you, without you having to think about it. Cool, eh?
Where can I find podcasts?
How do I listen to a podcast?
One simple way to listen to The Feisty Life will be simply to jump on to www.feisty.life and choose the episode/s you want to listen to.
You can also listen, download, subscribe and review on Stitcher.
If you happen to have an apple device, there is also the podcasts app which you can use to search, listen and subscribe!
Why should I care?!
Podcasts are a great way to learn, for FREE!
They cost you nothing, and the best of the best speakers, thinkers and trainers are out there, delivering their knowledge, for free.
There is simply no cheaper way to get smarter!
There are also any number of entertaining podcasts too, so it’s not just about education, though learning stuff is a great reason to tune in.
My hope is that The Feisty Life will be fun and informative. I certainly intend to have fun making the episodes, so I hope you’ll all have fun listening!
What does ‘Subscribe’ mean?
It’s free, easy and just means that you’ll be getting access to each episode collated and ready for you, without you having to go looking for it. It makes it even simpler to tune in.
It also is good for the podcaster, so, say for example that you want to support The Feisty Life, then hitting subscribe is a great way to do it and it doesn’t cost you anything, but will be encouraging for me (so thank you in advance!) It doesn’t mean you have to listen or are committed to anything, it’s just a wee act of support.
Why do reviews matter?
I get it. It’s a little bit of a faff to leave a review, but again, these are priceless for those of us who are out there giving away our knowledge and trying to help people.
You have NO idea how few people actually do it, but it means the WORLD when someone takes time to leave a review, so if you would that would be AMAZING.
It’s tough putting yourself out there, and there will always be haters, so when people take time to write something positive, it helps keep us all going. So thank you from the bottom of my heart if you’re one of those who leaves a review!
How do I find your podcast again?
